Newsflash! I have finally remembered to post about an event before it happens! Frog Hollow Press is launching their new chapbook "The City Series: Number One - Vancouver" this coming Monday, June 29th, at 6:30pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery Café. (Seriously one of my favourite places in the whole city. How great that we get to enjoy poems and cheesecake at the same time?) The chapbook features a collection of emerging Vancouver writers, and I'm thrilled to have a piece amongst its pages.
So maybe see you on the patio?
Details below, pulled from the event Facebook page!
Do you like poetry events with long event names? Do you like sipping and snacking on patios? Do you want to hear from the freshest poetic voices in Vancouver? Then this is the literary event for you.
Join Real Vancouver Writers' Series and Poetry Is Dead at the Vancouver Art Gallery Cafe as we celebrate the release of The City Series: Number One - Vancouver from Frog Hollow Press.

Hosted by Dina Del Bucchia & Sean Cranbury.
Read about the book here:
"Wunderkind Michael Prior assembles together ten Vancouver poets who are all unpublished in book or chapbook form. He has sought out talented people whose verse somehow represents his city's poetic and introduced that poetic in personal prose. The poets in The City Series: Vancouver constitute a cross-section of poetry that is diverse, brainy, and emotional, upending stereotypes about Vancouver as a poetry-town."
Books will be for sale (bring your cash) and copies of the Youth Culture issue of Poetry Is Dead will be there too.
